"Firm is Family" culture refers to a mentality promoted in the workplace that encourages viewing a company one works at and its employees as a cohesive unit with shared values, loyalty, and a sense of mutual responsibility, similar to a family. Like in family structures, all members of the workplace are encouraged to share a more personal relationship with each other, make sacrifices for the sake of their love for the company and incorporate workplace events that cultivate platonic connections amongst workers such as Christmas parties, office happy hour nights, sports teams, etc. 

Stoicism is a practical philosophy focused on self-improvement and emotional control. It teaches that while we can't control the universe, we can control our responses to it. The four cardinal virtues of stoicism are: wisdom, temperance, justice, and courage. 

Preserving Biological Diversity means protecting the variety of species and ecosystems e.g. preventing extinction, maintaining diverse ecosystems, and encouraging traditional natural balance of species. Alleviating Direct Animal Suffering means prioritizing the immediate well-being of individual animals, such as preventing pain and injury (in practices like factory farming).
